Here is how our "concierge" service works.
We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can afford per week, and to let us know that figure.
The difference between
a) what you can afford; and
b) what we need in order to keep our doors open,
is put onto your concierge balance (we never charge interest or fees on the balance).
We then collect that "affordable payment" every week.
-In any week you don't have an appointment, we still collect the affordable payment in order to pay down the balance.
-And when you graduate from treatment, we keep collecting the affordable payment until the balance is paid off.
Here is an example (with made up numbers).
a) You decide you can afford $75 a week.
b) But we need $150 a week.
So we collect $75 a week, and your balance builds by $75 a week. If you attend 12 weeks of counseling and then graduate (or take a break) then it will take us 12 more weeks to pay off your balance.
If the fees become burdensome, we rely on you to tell us that, so that we can stretch the repayment over more time and make your weekly payment lower (and vice versa).
In this way, we work hard to fulfill the law of Christ, in a very practical way, to love one another:
-The people of St Barnabas love the clients by accepting payment more slowly, and the clients love St Barnabas by paying what they can afford till the balance is paid off.
-The better off love the poor by paying a little more per week. and the poor love the better off by praying for them in love and gratitude.
